The potter's wheel is my main tool. I love throwing individual pieces and refining them through trimming and adding hand built elements. When the pieces are leather hard, slip is applied before the first or bisque firing. The mishima technique allows me to use the slip to decorate with line illustrations which are inspired by my love of flora and fauna. On the bisque ware, I use a variety of glazing methods to finish the piece. Wax resist is my go-to for isolating areas to allow for colorful glaze design. The work is then fired a second time to 2232° f. Any questions? Contact me!
